    All of them.
Without going into this one is better than this one etc. And without the I can replicate that with my foot etc.

I understand how they work with fly by wire throttles we have in our trucks. I had a similar issue in my mustang but that was eliminated when it was tuned for the pro charger the company was able to re “program the ecu to eliminate the throttle response delay.

But I’m curious if you mash your gas now in your truck your throttle opens wide up and your ecu tells the transmission to shift down when passing into a lower gear. Will these devices mean when I go to pass someone the transmission will still act in that same way or will it be a more controlled throttle increase.

I'd say it acts the same way. With the Sprint Booster as long as your foot is off the gas pedal, and the vehicle is coasting, you can switch between 3 drive modes - Sport, Off - OEM, and Race. I keep mine in Race 6 for on road driving. For passing vehicles you still need to drop the hammer on the gas pedal.

I turn off my Sprint Booster when going off road. Going back on road, I've found that I cant stand driving w/o it.
Best way I can describe it is instantaneous power.

I came from Nissan Frontiers. Buying a Tuner was common in order to remove the Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Lag. I'd say this acts the same.
You still have to control the throttle input with your foot.

I run pedal commander and have for 4+ years now. No issues so far, like Dan says turn it off when goin wheelin and its always on when driving to the grocery store. The throttle control, at least for me, is noticeable. Yes if you hammer down you'll definitely feel the responsiveness but even when feathering the pedal you'll have control over increasing speed
Or maybe im just used tobit by now lol

It feels like you added about 30hp to the truck. The responsiveness is just so much better.

Doesn't feel so much like "mush, piggie!" every time you mash the throttle.

I run a pedal commander as well. Had it on 2015 Trail and moved to to my 2020 Venture. Is the one performance mod on the 4Runner I would not want to live without.

Recently installed a Sprint Booster. I run mine on Sport 5. I noticed the other day when I needed to get into the next lane quickly on a city street, it got there much quicker than I expected. The downshift was faster and crisper. TIFWIW.

I use the Pedal Box. Made in Germany. Highly recommend it. Very smooth throttle response.

Thanks for all the info. I tried to order a sprint booster today and I don’t know what happened and will have to wait until Monday to find out I think but my PayPal went through but then their website still wanted a cc to complete the purchase which I didn’t feel comfortable adding Hense PayPal. But I’ll just have to see what PayPal says since they already drafted the account.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
This has been pretty much my experience as well. It makes driving the Runner much more fun.

I recently installed a Sprint Booster on my 19 ORP. I live in the mountains and it has made driving up on the paved roads much more enjoyable. While I am really only going about 30-35 mph max, it drives more like our Highlander now on the inclines. I really wish I had bought one sooner. I tend to hang around Sport 7 on paved and turn it off when I hit dirt/mud/snow.

If some can show me where they mounted the controller that would be awesome. I was thinking since it has blue tooth id just stash it away under the dash but in case anyone has a better idea.

I really gotta give one of these a try. I'm getting more and more frustrated by the lack of throttle response and useable torque in this thing, to the point where I don't even enjoy driving it. (I know this will do nothing for power/tq)

I just put on STOCK SIZED, standard load A/T's (Grabber ATX) last week and I feel like I'm towing a trailer now. I specifically went with stock size and SL to avoid losing performance. Also, my mileage appears to have taken a hell of a hit as well, though we had snow this week so I'm going to give it a few tanks before making the call on that.

On the plus size, they look badass and did a great job in the snow.

Can't say I've got lots of weight on my rig. I remember it wasn't much of a difference in fact I want to say I remember having better mileage before all the add-ons

Nothing that I've noticed. It's about the same as before except for the first week or so after because I know I was enjoying the driving experience more! Since then, though, the same.

I initially had a conversation with that gentleman, but ended up finding the SB for quite a bit less on Cyber Monday, so ordered it then.

I'm still on my first tank of gas since installing the Sprint Booster, so no data to go on as of yet. I'm a bit anal about tracking fuel mileage, sorry to say, so I will report back. The initial tracking on my dash readout hasn't shown any difference, but I hand calculate mpg, so we'll see.

RE MPG - mine stayed the same after the 1st week / tank of experimenting with it.
However, with the addition heavy steel sliders and heavy steel skid plates (both from Shrockworks) my MPG average has gone down from 18.75 to 17.9.

So many people post precise MPG numbers. Are you only relying on the MPG dash readout? It’s a running average between each time you reset it. So if you never reset it, say after a major mod like bigger tires or added armor, you may think your MPGs were only slightly affected. You won’t see much difference until many miles later when the decrease is averaged in. I usually reset mine after each fill up and compare it to a calculated result.

I set the trip meter to -0- each time I fill up. I divide the miles on the trip meter when I fill up next by the number of gallons to fill the tank. Zero trip meter, start again. I don't pay any attention to the dash MPG indicator.

I'm glad you enjoy it, but I would refer to this as a "calibration mod" since it doesn't actually change the available performance of the truck.

(At least) The newer 4Runners track MPG since reset, fill up, and ignition.

I assume you are asking me....dash display currently shows 19.1, and sometimes 19.2; the last 4 hand-calculated fillups have all netted around 19.2 - 19.4 mpg, so pretty close. Keep in mind, though, as I said, I don't use the dash display to monitor MPG numbers, and have not reset it since the truck was driven off the lot. Therefore I imagine it's showing the average since it was first set when new.
