I had metal in my oil pan from one of the connecting rods so this so-called mechanic said I needed a crank shaft and all the bearing and he made a mess of things.

To clean the motor real good do I have to take everything off the motor?

Probably, or cover everything electrical in plastic bags and go to town with a pressure washer

3" lift but mostly all stock not a scratch on it it is pristine condition amazing for being 19 years old.
to clean the inside of your engine i used turbo maxx its a zddp oil additive it will clean all the sludge and dirt and add a protective film on all the metal part that is what i used. i got better gas mileage and cooler engine temperature use as directed.do not add to transmission it is to slippery to work in it. also i had a chevy 350 engine that needed new crank bearings. so i did what they say can't be done!!!. i pulled the engine out unbolted the crank caps lifted the crank just high enough to push out the old bearings with the new bearings used a plastic gage to make sure the new bearing were not too tight. it was perfect put the bearing caps back on put the timing chain back on put it back in the el camino and drove it for 40.000 miles problem free.but toyotas are built like a swiss watch no room for airer not like chevys.. but that's just me i don't always color inside the lines. good luck with your engine it worked for me.LARRY B
