    Hello everyone!
My name is T and I own a 2020 4runner trd pro appox 34k Miles.Mostly stock except a goby ladder and some accessories (front camera, cat shields, led lights etc).
I have been dealing with that annoying sounds I posted in the video above for quite some time and lately seems to be getting worse .
I had 3 mechanics look at it and they weren't much help .
The sound can be described as a buzzing/light vibration coming from the dash area on the driver sise.the noise only happens between50/55mph. I have done plenty of research and tried everything I can find online such as:
    -Mud skirts clips replacement
-Replaced all the loose clips in the wheel wells
    -rotated tires
-inspected the engine bay for any loose clips or retainers
-removed the windshield cal and those covers in the corners of the windshield
    Any suggestions?

Thanks for any input you can give me

My 2019 occasionally makes a similar sound, a light buzzing. I traced it to the plastic piece on the underside of my driver-side mirror. Tapping on it, I can feel that it's slightly loose. I haven't tried to fix it, but I'm certain that's the culprit in my case.

I have been dealing with this for over a year now
    And it's getting worse
I m so close to trade it for a Tundra ..
Let me know if you find out anything
Today out of rage, I have took the front bumper off , replaced the clips on the mud skirts in the front, checked for any damaged parts .greased up the hood struts , adjusted and lubricated the hood rubber stopper
Removed cal trim and rode without to test it
That sound is still there at 50mph...

    Hello,
I have exactly the same sound at same speed. I drive a 2021 SR5P with 25K miles. Took it to Stevinson Toyota West to check on the needle bearing before my warranty expired. They inspected and they said I needed and alignment and the sound comes from my tires. They are Duratracs stock size. Take them every 4K miles for balancing at Discount Tires. Dealership said the tires are wearing out not evenly. Dealership said they lifted the truck and started it and the noise was gone. Went back to Discount and told them how they checked for the noise and DT said that is wrong because with the truck on the air there is no weight on the tires. Anyhow bit the bullet and pay 250 for the alignment and it kind of went away.
But I was afraid it was the needle bearing.
What kind of tires do you guys have on?

I think perhaps it is the OCD kicking in....listened to your recording 3 times and hear nothing abnormal.
Have you ever tried chasing a shadow? and caught it?

Stock tires Nitto. I can see the tires wearing unevenly and causing the vibration however, there is still something loose somewhere to make that sound..

Did you try removing the splash shield aprons altogether? Sounds like wind related to me.

Don't hear anything in the video. Did you check the mirror for loose bits? That causes very light vibration in the wind on mine.

So road force balance and alignment did not work for you?
That was gonna be my next step

No, once I found the cause of mine was a slightly loose piece on the mirror, I stopped being concerned about it. I suppose I could glue it. Mine is a wind noise, it doesn't follow tire rotation or anything mechanical.

Just a thought.... Place a towel on top of your dash and see if the sound still sounds like it's coming from up there. I'm thinking if it's a reflected sound, placing a towel up there might help locate it's actual source.

That being said, if it's the clicking/ ticking sound in the video, I had/ have a similar sound- but it was definitely more from the passenger side. Had my son move around to try and find it while I was driving. Turns out it was coming from the passenger footwell. A wire harness was rubbing/ vibrating against the blower motor housing.

Remove and drive without the cowl? Maybe it’s flapping?

When experience noise like this I try to locate it as close as possible. Maybe you ask someone to drive and you start putting your ear to different spots. It sounds like a vibration noise so I would put my hand on the dash, side mirror etc to see if I can spot the exact source.

To everyone who says they cant hear something, get your hearing checked… There is a faint rattling tapping noise…. You can hear it. It sounds like plastic, or something around your cab getting vibrated. I had a cord that would sometimes lean against the 4wd shift selector, and make a similar noise. It does not sound mechanical to me. I would look behind the dash. You said you installed a front camera, which means you had to add a module and wires behind the dash. I bet something is leaning or touching something else causing it to make that noise. Make sure that everything behind there is snug and has room, and not just stuffed behind the plastics.

I don't hear anything concerning ether. Maybe that light squeak?

Have someone else drive it and listen to different spots. Maybe try a stethoscope to narrow down where you believe it's coming from.

If all else fails take it off roading, usually gets rid of any odd noises for me. lol

I did try that where i took the whole screen and the front bumper off (twice )
I was hoping I left something loose .
I have also places my go pro camera in the engine bay , in the wheel well and underneath the car to look for any strange movement

I hear it for sure something is making that noise…. Its just the matter of pin pointing it and fixing it. What are the main symptoms

Happens around 50/55 mph . More pronounced early in the motning and not as smooth pavement. Definitely louder when the vehicle is leaning on its right . Today for example, driving home, while wad 93 F i didn't hear It likely becauseof the tores being warm and less stiff ?.happens in 4H as well so no needle bearing.

Where does it sound like it coming from in term of direction? In front of you? Behind you? Underneath you?

Past the steering wheel. Feels like it s like in the dash but I tried to hold it , no changes
The affected area goes all the way from the left corner of the dash to just in line with the steering wheel
