Well....after all of the good years and endless problem solving, we may have come to the end. Was on my way from Montana to Arizona yesterday. She was shifting and running with the best of them in SLC suicide run. Made it to Vegas for a quick fuel stop going the Henderson way. Started her up and she shuddered away from the stop light. This was unvlbelievable and I literally went into shock. Pulled a quick U into Autozone crack area, just befpre dark. Went around back, found a piece of cardboard a guy was sleeping on, dropped a Big Gulp full of ATF, repalced with Bars Trans Repair 2 Part #1400 and 1/3 can of Seafoam Trans Tune. Shuddered at every stop light and slow speed take off though sin city. She did get me to Kingman 70 miles with no issues at highway speeds. Been here 2 days and nights now, adding more snake oil, Instant Shudder Fix. Still terrible shudder from stop to around 25mph. Most of you don't know the story...some of you do. 278,600 miles and 18 years of constant maintainence, but she owes me nothing. Every fluid including 18 quart ATF flush, filter, distributor, wires, plugs, caps, rotors, main relay, valve adjusrments, knock sensor, coolant temp sensor, new vacume lines and fuel pressure regulator. The latest this summer was 6 new injectors, fuel pump, coil, disributor, igniter, MAF sensor, #2 transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor(code 61 on O.D. Light-wouldn't upshift, that fixed it). New KM IIIs and winshield fot this trip. There is always more, so here it all is. My only possible hope besides a new transmission is....A new ECM and another SUPER SEA FOAM 18 quart transmission flush. Other than those 2, I am at a loss for hooe. I just cant do the tough stuff anymore at 65 with RA. I actually wore out the Factory Toyota Repair Manual like a Preacher does his Bible. Dropping the trans pan and repacing 3 solenoids on the ground, just cant happen at my age. This thread is a FINAL S.O.S. for any "Super Techs" on here with any suggestions on my last 2 options besides a new transmission due to converter or TCC. If there were to be anything else I can possibltly do to save her, would be a true life changer for me. I have put everything into this 1995 3VZE 3.0 Automatic over the years, from 28,000 to almost 300,000. She has been so very good to me for so long. Rusted now, but a spotless motor and super interior. I simply cant accept to send her to her grave for a strange low speed take off shake and shudder. Sorry for the obituary, but I am at the end with her. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks To All Of You Over The Years. Pyroslinger.

I'd check what a shop would charge to swap it with a junkyard tranny. Or price a rebuilt one. Automatic transmissions simply wear out.

If you can afford it, get the tranny replaced. If not, time to upgrade.
