I think about Ronnie when I hear guys like David Goggins or other extreme types telling you that it’s all in your head and quitting is for wimps. Go run 250 miles or squat 850. I kind of like that my knees still work and I don’t need crutches. I still have most of my mobility in my shoulders thank you. My hands close. I’m ok with 85 percent effort.

 

In one of his interviews he says that he did 600 lbs squats and heard his back pop. Next day he went to emergency and he had herniated his disc. After only two weeks of rest, he went back to the gym to squat 300 lbs. The man was addicted to lifting. But maybe that's the way to achieve greatness.
