    Hey folks,

New stock 2024 4runner ORP owner here. Need some advise please.
I got rid of the cruddy 265 70/17 Dunlop's that it came with at the dealership.
I decided to go with the 275 Falken Wildpeak AT4W.
Installed, and it looks nice and beefy. Only issue is that I got the dreaded tire rub when I max out on my wheel turns (e.g. parking, U turns, backing up at full rotation).

Is there a clean way of fixing this? I've seen YouTube videos where people take a heat gun to warp the mudguards away from the tire, other partially cut the wheel well and mudguards out, and others offset the tires. Some spend thousands for a lift.
Trying to avoid all these if possible as a new owner. I was thinking mud guard deletes, but found out it's illegal in the state that I'm in. Also I don't even know if that would fix the issue.

Any idea's for a quick and cheap(er) fix to my issue?
I really want to keep the 275's if possible.

    thanks in advance

You could try the fender liner mod to help clearin front, and have an alignment shop max out your caster to help clear behind the tire.

I don't usually hear about rubbing with 275/70/17's, unless they're on aftermarket wheels. What wheels do you have?

Maybe update your profile to include your location.

I think (fixing) the rub is highly over rated. I would drive it as is. Don't turn as tight, or when you need to, live with the rub. What's it hurt?

I have Falken AT3Ws in 275 on stock ORP rims and same rub. Its due to the Falkens being a 11" wide tire. Remove the mud flaps and heat gun the bubble.

Thanks all. I ended up using a box pull cutter, and trimmed some of the front bumper plastic down. It seemed to have worked for the most part. Only time I hear it rub is if I'm using full wheel turn on the steep incline/decline.
This does not happen much...so I'm living with it. The great part of this...people don't notice the trim job, unless I point to it and let them know what I did.

It's a temporary win in my books until I decide to go with the viper cut!
