Wow just learned vehicles have Brake Hold buttons now via abs system. Damn them. Had no idear

 

I agree with him on most of it. But especially the start /stop thing. It's annoying AF!

 

I also like blind spot monitor. Agree on start-stop, what a useless feature.

 

I had it on my 2012 Mercedes-Benz and recently on my XC90 Volvo. Needless to say that while Mercedes system worked perfectly, 10 years later the Volvo still messed up my rear brake pads because they released the brake by 1-2 ms later than should have, causing premature rear brake pads wear.

The auto start/stop is not a feature for the consumer. It’s a tool for the manufacturers to meet EURO 5/6/7 emission norms and to reduce CO2 emissions on paper. I always turned it off on every car.

 

Actually, he did. It was #4 on his worst list - Driver Monitor System. The system will scan your face and send out warning beeps every time you turn your head away from looking straight forward. I guess we are no longer supposed to turn our heads to 1. look in the rear view mirror, 2. look at the passenger side mirror and 3. look at that huge laptop mandated by law that contains most radio and HVAC controls also called the infotainment screen.
