Twice now, I've had issues with what sounds like the tcase binding when shifting out of 4wd. It shifts into 4wd and drives just fine, but once I move the switch back to 2wd and continue drive, as soon as I make even the slightest turn with my steering wheel, it starts popping. Both times I've had to drive is slowly in reverse in a straight line to get it to shift back out of 4wd. First time was on hard packed gravel, second time was on wet/snowy pavement.
Am I in need of a new tcase? Or am I doing something wrong

It sounds like you're using 4wd pretty regularly, but has it been exercised regularly?

One thing you could try is to let off the gas momentarily after you switch back to 2wd. Sometimes taking the load off helps it shift.

I don't get much chance to these days. Last time I used it, it shifted in and out no problem. Today, I was only moving about 5mph when it started popping as I was pulling out of my parking spot
