I have a 2023 Off-road Premium 4Runner and want to install an aftermarket pro grille like the ones seen on Yota Xpedition or 4RunnerLifestyle. I think the letters are a bit understated and really like the look of the pro Tacoma grille. I know the 4Runner letters sit on top and don't have the extra framing around them, but I think having larger letters could be an improvement. I am willing to figure out the measurement and placement myself, considering the Tacoma letters would require drilling in different spots.

Does this idea sound like it would work? I couldn't find dimensions information, so I'm not sure if the Tacoma letters would even fit vertically within the area provided. Also, I've seen a few pictures of the back of the Tacoma letters, and the edges have indentations that might leave gaps.

Its possible there are letters from other vehicles or older models that might be a better idea?

Welcome. You might have to do some trimming of due to the extensions to allow the grill slats. But if you like them enough, you do you.

I got measurements from a retailer and learned that the 4Runner letters are 1 3/4" while the Tacoma letters are 2 1/4". The 4Runner letters are also curved to fit the the grill. The size seems like they would fit in the space provided, so I will try to trim the Tacoma letters down with a dremel tool and see if I can get to something worthwhile. Will post updates if it goes well.

The letters in the link provided are different, with that black plastic backing the letters are attached to. The 4Runner letters have no separate backing on them.
