Found a Trd supercharger from 2013 taco locally for $1800. Will it work with 2019 4Runner? I know engines are the same but is the ecu going to be a problem?

and if that works, what would it do to mpg if you didn't change your driving habits at all?

Try calling the manufacturer, probably Magnuson.

Mpg will go down. Hard. It will fit the 19. It will not fit 20+, encrypted ecu I think. it will require premium as well.
    google it. Plenty of videos.

I bought a super charged 2018 Limited, it will pass anything but a gas station.

The engines are not the same other then the name. Internals are different including the VVTI. ECU is also different.

Sorry, gonna have to disagree with these statements. Had a '13 Limited, no supercharger, and the '19, with a Magnuson, gets the same mileage. Depends on how heavy yer right foot is, though. And yes, it will need premium fuel and a tune and the tuner won't be cheap if it's a Magnuson. Check before ya leap.

As doglover states, the engines are not the same, so fitment may be a problem.

I installed the supercharger on my 2008 XRunner. Mileage may take a slight hit, but it is small. It will be bad the first month, because your going to have your foot into it. After that it will get better.

Other things that you need to be concerned with:

You need more fuel, so you need a updated fuel pump.

    You need bigger fuel injectors.

If this is a Magnuson style supercharger (as opposed to URD) this is a water to water intercooler. There is an intercooler and a pump that mounts in front of the radiator. There is a heat exchanger that sits inside of the supercharger. There is also a surge/fill bottle that is part of this intercooler system. You might have to make your own mounts to fit this.

You will need a way to retune. To get the most bang for your buck, you are going to need headers.

I have a copy of my installation instructions with a bill of materials, if you need a copy. If you are missing parts, there is a good chance you are going to make what you need. I would save the headache and buy a complete kit.
