    Hi there

I was fiddling with this circled green piece and now my glovebox won’t open at all despite it being unlocked. Does anyone know what it he and how to fix it?

    thank you!

If you try the key, does it turn fully or feel like something is blocked?

The lock operates normally. I can turn the key without any issues. When I press the button when it’s locked it behaves normally. Locked with the feeling of a lock behind the push. When I push with it unlocked it has a bunch of resistance where it feels like I’m pressing a really heavy spring

figured it out by looking at my wifes camry. looks like that circled portion is where the trigger pushes out the latch. it was stuck because the trigger was caught behind a piece of plastic. i fixed it by gently prying the glovebox then sticking a screwdriver in to push the plunger back into the correct position and it now depresses and operates normally
