Thought id throw this out there - when removing the bearings, etc on my 3gen rear axle and using the puller tool and press - on setup one of the four serrated bolts stripped - instructions were to drive it out and then drive it back in once the press portion of the process was complete - when I was was running the nut on to pull it back in place it stripped the serrations in the hole - not wanting to have to replace the “drive axle shaft housing part #4242135030”
What can I do ? I know I need to replace the studs however it seems the hole is stripped out. Other than just giving it a try with a new stud.
