    STRANDED PLEASE HELP!!!
    05 T4R V6 4X4
    100% Stock

    Ignition keyed off
    Positive battery cable connected
    Negative disconnected
    12.7 V

    Hook Negative to battery post
    12.7 V immediately goes to 5.9 V

    No blown fuses

I do know that it has something to do with the circuits related to connectors 1C and 1D at interior fuse box bc with them disconnected everything is kosher but unfortunately they are Ignition so gotta figure this out...Please help

A charged battery should read 14+ volts.

Is it ticking when you try to start it? If so, dead battery.

12.7V with no power to the battery is sufficient. Definitely something else IMO

How old is the battery? Sounds like a dropped cell. Are you able to jump it?

If you had a short big enough to drop voltage like that, you’d have a hell of an electrical show. That would take some massive amp load.
Battery voltage can read fine with no load, and still be a failed battery. That’s why shops load test them.

if the battery is older than 3 years it’s likely bad. Even under 3 years can go bad.

Spitballing, but could be a bad chassis ground.

Will do when I figure it out, agree with the bad grounds, still checking them when I have time.
Those who have said battery 14v are apparantly delusional being that would only be 14v with engine running which obvious common sense here would tell you that this entire thread here is about my truck not running there genius. Thanks to everyone else who is competent enough to know this without me having to say it. Will update when I find the culprit, thinking bad ground as well. Thanks y'all. Keep on keepin on

Depends on what part of the charging cycle. I have seen 12.9v all the way to 14.9v when charging.

Also depends on the battery chemistry.
Different batteries require different voltages at different times.

moot point when ya can’t start tho

All that have responded to your call for help are doing just that, just trying to help, IMHO I find it rude for you to insult them for a little bit of lack of knowledge and or not comprehending everything you posted/wrote.

Feel free to continue your insults towards me as well if it will make you feel better.

That all being said good luck finding what's causing your issue.
