I’ve had my 4Runner since it was new, had 9 miles when I drove it off the lot.

So my steering wheel has been off center since the beginning. It always looks like it is being pulled to the left. Issue was brought up a week after I purchased it and dealer semi repaired it. It was more center after the repair but not perfect. So here’s the catch, my alignment is always off.. vehicle always pulls to the right. I’ve had the dealer do 3 alignments and two rotate and balance and it still pulls to the right and the steering wheel is still off center.

My question to the 5th gen community is this, is your steering wheel always off center? My Tacoma’s steering wheel is perfectly straight all the time. So I know this isn’t normal.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

Mine is fine.If not I would take it to a dealer and have it fixed. Dont try taking off the wheel if you dont know exactly what you're doing, the air bag can kill you.

Your steering wheel is fine as in it’s always center?

If you have another Toyota Dealership near your location, make an appt and take it there. Ask them and see if they have a tech that is their "alignment specialist". Bring up all your concerns and take all your paperwork showing the previous work and alignment specs. Good luck.

I'm not saying one way or another if something else might be your problem but many things can cause a pull to one side. Tire conicity, low air pressure on front as well as rear tires, sticking brake caliper, etc. Just a thought because if the dealer aligned it correctly that should have fixed it.

Also, I'm not sure but I think there is a separate way to center the wheel after it has been aligned. Hopefully one of the many sharp folks on this forum can elaborate on how/if it can be done. Anyway you may have already ruled these out. Good luck!

Just had mine realigned after installing new UCA’s and the alignment tech mad sure the steering wheel was centered while on the alignment rack prior to making final alignment.

Mine was perfect when I purchased my 4Runner. I installed 5100’s and after a couple thousand miles I noticed my steering wheel slightly off center. I took it back to the shop where I had the 5100’s installed and they realigned, steering wheel was straight afterwards. They said the 5100’s settled in which made my steering wheel slightly off.

I think it is a matter of the tech knowing what he is doing, they can adjust and center the steering wheel.

I get it's new but if Toyota is calling the job complete maybe bring it to a known competent tire/alignment shop can't hurt (or cost anything) to pop in and just ask a question. A steering wheel set a little off center shouldn't be the reason the car is pulling, two separate issues in my opinion but I'm not a mechanic either.
