I have a 2005 4Runner and the barrel rod broken in the ignition cylinder. I am trying to remove the steering column cover and accidentally locked the wheel before removing the last screw. Since I am not able to enter a key and turn to accessory is there another way to unlock the wheel?

    thanks

All the way Inside of where the ignition barrel would meet the car you can pull out the small metal piece that the ignition barrel connects to and there might be a slide that moves up and down if you press on the bottom of it with a screwdriver and push it down it might release the slide lock. Just throwing out some info I have done this on older generations but don’t have experience with it on a 2005
