Which ones have recovery points that are in the same plane as the frame rails (not above or below)?

Debating steel vs aluminum as well. Lots of rocks in the woods in new england and I am sure steel holds up better to hits...but aluminum holds up better to salt. I know it will see salt, hits would be unplanned.

    (same debate about skid plates)

No plans for rock crawling in the sense it is done out west but woods trails and class xx roads in NH and VT (and I'd love to do the Swisha Loop someday).

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I had this brand/style on my 21' Tacoma and loved it. The recovery points are right where I think you'd want them, and it was steel. It was made by Body Armor. I'm pretty sure they have the same style for the 4Runner.

Just to provide some info, I have the Victory 4x4 Blitz in aluminum. Recovery points are just above the frame rails. If you are looking at aluminum, this victory bumper and the one from Greenlane I think are only low profile bumpers available in aluminum.

Curious if anyone has used the Green Lane recovery points; they're pretty close to in line as far as I can tell. Winched a few vehicles out of the sand but haven't gotten yanked yet.
