    Hello folks!

I'm just finishing installing a used engine (310,000 kms) onto my '99 Limited.

I bought the engine from a good source and they ran it for me just before removal for me to see how smoothly it ran.

This engine has had the valve covers off and oil pan off for about 5 months now with no oil in it.

Now that I'm sealing it up again with new gaskets (didn't replace the head gasket) i wanted to get advice as to what I should do before I begin trying to start it up after install.

Do I need to add any special lubricants to the cam lobes or squirt anything special into the cylinders first?

I plan on emptying the gas with the fuel pump once electricals are assembled again as the truck has been sitting for 2 years.

Not sure if I absolutely need to replace the Auto Transmission fluid?

    Thank you for your help!

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Can you disable the ignition and just turn it over with the starter to pump oil around the engine and maybe build a little oil pressure?

Yes that's a good idea, would I have to also disable to fuel system too so I don't flood the engine?
