    Hello All:
I have a 2001, 2 wheel drive SR5. My check engine light, VSC trac, ABS and brake lights are all lit up, as well as my speedometer not working. I took to the dealer who wants $1600 to replace the sensors, but my service manager says they are not vital as I only drive local roads basically to and from work, 7 miles each way. I want to try and replace them myself and am wondering if aftermarket parts will do or should I go with the much more expensive OEM parts, the difference is quite significant. Has anybody had any experience with the aftermarket units. I did go to O'Reilly auto parts and had the codes read and only one came back saying "speed sensor A". They could not tell me if it was the ABS sensor(s), which one it might be or all of themor the speedometer sensor. Any suggestions please.

What is the code? or codes?

We can't really do much without it.

Unfortunately the guy did not give me the code, all he said it displayed was speed sensor A. I'll take to another auto parts store and see if they can give me a code. Thanks for replying to my post.

Found this video. You will probably need to take it to a shop and have them use a more advanced code reader.

Did you ever figure out what the “Speed Sensor A” was? I’m having the same problem!
