Spark plug condition

Hey Everyone, just changed out the plugs and coils on my '09 4Runner 4.0L. Curious what you guys think of the plugs I pulled out. Not sure why someone would put Autolite spark plugs in this 4runner...

 

agreed. Gaps look huge on them as well. Go with Denos imo. 4th plug from left doesnt look like it was torqued to spec.

 

What’s wrong with OEM? I never understood. Especially when the parts are not expensive and you usually replace them every 100k miles.

 

arent the factory plugs denso iridiums?

 

No idea, I bought NGK this time. I had heard on some 4.0 models they are NGK on one side and Denso on the other from the factory?

 

No idea, I think they are a mix of NGK and Denso from the factory but mine had already been changed out.

 

Man I hate autolites. The gap looks too big, and they were overdue for a change. It appears your valve covers are leaking because is that oil on the middle plug?

 

Possible they took it to a shop that did not use OEM or they live in a town with auto parts stores but no dealer. Personally, I'd plan ahead and order some. But if I decided to do it this afternoon, I can be at an Auto Zone, O'Reilly's or NAPA in 5 minutes. The dealer is almost 3 hours round trip.
