Spare tire question

I have a flat tire. Gonna swap in the spare and take the other one to get fixed.

Question- if my OEM spare Dunlap is like a half inch smaller diameter than the Michelins that are on the truck, can I still drive the truck around or could this cause a problem?

Tire size is same on both tires. OEM size. I just suspect the Michelins could be a very slightly larger diameter.

 

For short distances, you'll be fine. Your truck may pull a bit in the direction of the smaller tire, but that's it. It's totally safe.

You might want to check the date code on your spare. Depending on the brand mfg’s recommend replacement after so many years, regardless of mileage on the tire.

 

Good time to spray some fluid film up there also while the spare is off and on the chain.
