Not all spacer lifts do the same thing. In this article, we take a closer look at whats going on when you install a top hat spacer lift, preload spacer lift or adjustable coilover on your 4Runner. Click to see full article with more animations. Enjoy!

If anyone who has a top hat spacer upgraded the bump stop and have UCA to clear the spring is it all good?

I was just thinking to myself, is highend shocks have the same top hat spacer concept to achieve extra droop and have internal bump stops to protect the shock and recommend getting UCA to clear the spring?
(Also seem to have preload collar to gain height from the spring not entirely on the spacer like block on top. I mean that block is about an inch so how the minimum height is 2in and rest of the height is gained by the spring preload amount?)

** Sorry I'm just a user, so my questions might be dumb. :)

Forgot to add the pic -

vs stock don't have that kind of block.

-In theory sure, if you had a top hat spacer lift, with aftermarket UCA and proper bump stop lengths it should work better. However, CV angles would also be an issue.
-The King Top Hat mount has more to do with how the shock is built, its not a spacer. Totally different than a pin top OEM shock below.
