Question for the experts... Assuming alignment was done correctly etc. would you expect a spacer lift (front and back) to wear tires any differently than a 'stock' truck? I would assume no, but before I spend money on new tires I would like to maybe get to the bottom of why I only got ~26K out of my Toyo AT3s...

If alignment is done after installation of spacers, and it was able to be brought into spec, then I don’t think spacers by themselves would cause bad tire wear.

I got a buddy with a tacoma that ate his through his tires quickly due to a bad upper control arm ball joint from SPC. It could be something along those lines. Maybe start checking for bad ball joints, or bad wheel bearings before getting new tires.

    I agree with Mcspaz...

Did your Toyos wear relatively evenly?

As a data point, our 60,000 mile tires on our Sienna lasted just about 30,000. Pretty even wear.

Yeah, I would say relatively evenly. However, when I had a front plugged and they said the fronts are worn and cupped. They didn't mention the rears and I didn't look at them as I have been noticing the overall wear for the last month or so. They have been religiously rotated at about ~6,000 miles.

That said, they do have a lot of highway miles on them for sure. Like I mentioned in another thread I am not being honest with myself on where this truck spends most of its time... I am currently looking at/considering the Geolander G015 as maybe a better option for my use...

    Just a data point here.
My 2014 and now my 21 T4R, both with mild lifts. Aligned at the shop immediately after lifts.
I run BFG KO’s. Every 5K, they get balanced & rotated. Never any issues with cupping or uneven wear! 41000 on the current set, they are not even close to end of life.
