    I had a 1990 4Runner for a few years in 1998-2001 or so. Wish I'd never sold it! It was lifted with beefy AT tires and super fun for cruising around the desert in southern AZ where I lived at the time. Sold it after moving to the big city for a small subaru. 20 years later I'm back in the desert/mountains and decided to get another 4Runner. Started looking in november, first at used ones and then decided to just buy new since the recent model used prices seemed pretty high.

    Now I'm waiting for a new Silver 2023 TRD ORP with KDSS & Moonroof - delivery expected sometime in Jan/Feb 2023. Currently it's stuck in port getting a bunch of add-ons that I don't want but wasn't able to get the dealer to remove (Predator steps, door edge guards, exhaust tip, PPF on the hood/fenders/mirrors). Oh well at least I got them to drop the $2K ADM and sell it to me at MSRP.

    Will be adding RCI Sliders/Skids (already ordered during their recent holiday sale) and likely upgrading to AT tires and possibly new wheels. Also considering a 2-3" lift/suspension upgrade, likely Eibach. I'm not likely to do any serious rock crawling but I will take it on some rougher FS roads to find that perfect campsite or get to remote trailheads etc.

    I've been reading/researching here for a bit now, seems like a great forum full of super helpful and friendly people. I've tried to contribute a bit as well with the small amount of knowledge I've gained so far...
