1st mod was Canvasback Cargo liners. After the 1st camping trip, I am really glad I had those. They saved my cargo bay carpet. ( Well, at least prolonged the inevitable.)
    2nd was the glovebox/console organizer.
3rd mod was the rubber doo-hickeys that go in all of the cubbies/door pockets. Keeps my stuff from sliding out of the cubbies. I used 2 sided tape so the vaccum wouldn't suck them up. Works well, so far.

Those horrible factory Dunlops absolutely had to go.It was raining the day I picked up my 4R and the hydroplaning was very noticeable at interstate speed. Falken Wildpeaks were the hands down favorite in my research. 275/70/17. There may be better tires out there, but there were very, very few negative comments about the Wildpeaks. I had no balancing issues that were the #1 problem with these tires.

Next was a pair of 4x Innovation rock sliders. Their You Tube video convinced me that these will take some punishment, and they are 1.25 hours from my house, so I saved a ton on shipping. I got them in bare metal and thought the silver would look good with the blue.DSC_8160.jpg DSC_8167.jpg A month later, time for a bumper and winch. Went with the Warn winch bumper and a Harbor Freight "Badlands Apex" 12,000 lb. winch. If it works for "Matt's Off-Road Recovery" in Utah, it will be way more winch than I will ever need. I am planning a 6 week trip to Alaska next year and my buddy, who I helped install the bumper, had some expanded aluminum laying around. We thought it would help protect the radiator from flying stones. Drilled and tapped the bull bar before install. Covered the edges with silver door edging.DSC_8177.jpg I think it looks good. (We kinda screwed up the body cut. Cut the corners too sharp, and the door guard has a gap in the corners. Oh well!!)

Victory Molle panels were next. I built my shelf with some OSB I had laying around and 4 waterbed brackets. Covered it with cheap $10 carpet from the home improvement store. That works great.

When I got the dealer issued plates, the grand-daughters dubbed it "Alf".

So I ran with that..... DSC_8251.jpg I had these custom license plate frames made at "Best License Plate Frames." $26 Yeah, I am a poser.

I did get a "Sprint Booster" 3 weeks ago. Made this boat a lot funner to drive.

I will finally get to take it off-road next month. Wife's uncle in Tenn. knows places. Then we will see how far down the rabbit hole I want to go. May be an expensive trip.

    Thanks for looking.

    Looking good!!

You didn’t mention any suspension mods so I’m curious how the weight of the bumper and winch is impacting the front springs?

I did install a 1" Cornfed spacer up front. I had no rubbing issues, until I put on the bumper/winch combo. It now rubs in reverse at full lock. Gotta do the "fender tuck"....someday. Too damn hot to do it now.

Looks great. I think the silver slider make it look different too.
Rabbit hole is deep. I see some expensive lights in your future.

Nice truck, and good job on all the upgrades. Any photos or links for the rubber doo-hickeys that go in all of the cubbies/door pockets? Just curious what those are.

Amazon, "CupHolderHero". I couldn't get the link to post/work. Google it. If you do get them, I strongly suggest using 2 sided tape, or the vacuum may claim them. Ask how I know.

The bare metal look is actually Rustoleum "Titanium Silver" from a rattle can. Well, 7 rattle cans.

You can hate me if you want, but let me tell this to help you to make your 4Runner looks better.

That is a beautiful 4Runner but mismatching colors on little things have screwed the looks.

Eg - color on your sliders, silver color mesh on your low profile bumper, red D-rings on the bumper, the red sticker / lining around the bumper cut (and the messed up cut itself).

What would I do if this was mine?
    1. Paint the sliders black.
    2. Remove the silver mesh on the low profile bumper
    3. Remove the d-rings on the bumper
    4. Buy a nautical blue front bumper and to do a perfect cut and make sure its behind the low profile bumper.
    5. When the cut is right behind the low profile bumper I will add a black liner around the cut.
    additionally;
    6. See if I can black out the roof railings.
    7. Buy a fully black license plate frame.
    8. If the badges were blacked out it would look even better IMO.

I only share my thoughts because I like all our members 4Runners to look good.

I don't hate on you. Every one has an opinion, and I can respect that. However it is my ride, and as such I did my ride the way I wanted, (and could afford). Most sliders are black and you can barely see them when going down the road. The silver stands out, and goes with the blue like peanut butter and jelly. I put the red border around the bumper cut to accentuate that area. So the red D-rings were chosen to accent the red border.
The aluminum mesh is to keep flying rocks out of the radiator. The factory grill is not sturdy enough for my needs. Big trucks and gravel will kill a radiator. ( suggestions to protect the windshield are appreciated).

I am not a fan of the "black-out" look. I like the silver/blue combo.

^^Eh... I disagree. This is a public forum, and once someone makes a new thread/post, it opens it up for discussion and opinions, good or bad.

OP... Good on you for trying something a little different than the norm. I'm personally a fan of blacked out accents, *insert basic storm trooper joke here*, but the silver and blue is a nice combo.
