    3 in bilstine lift
Was wondering about a softer lift for my truck. I currently have a bilstine 3” lift. I would like to either stay 3” or go 6” but I want a smoother softer lift. Not so much the ride per se just softer over bumps and such. Andy advice on what to purchase?
    Also it’s a 2WD.

You're severely limiting your down travel with a 3" lift.

When hitting a bump the wheels travel up just fine, but on their way back down you will easily max out the travel and it's going to feel jarring.

Your best bet is to lower your lift to 2" so your up and down travel is more even.

You can also purchase shocks that have a softer, more adjustable valving.......but your main problem is too much lift.

Hey Dreadloc74, what is your intended purpose for this truck i.e. pre-runner or pavement only. Also, what size wheels and tires are you using and what year/model do you have? It's impossible to give thoughtful recommendations without more vehicle specific information.

Similar situation. I have adjustable front springs, but the rear springs are 3" I think. Still new to the 4runner. Do I just need 2" springs in back?
