Hey everyone. New guy here, been lurking a while, love this forum.

A few weeks ago, I got a 2020 Venture Edition. This is my 4th 4runner, love them.

    Back to my question....

Historically, when I would go surfing, I would put a cheap key in my wetsuit to unlock the car. Now with the smart key fob, I cannot do this. My idea was to use a lock box on my hitch with the fob inside. I learned yesterday that I need to wrap the fob in tin foil to stop the fob from transmitting or receiving from the car.

My question is, has anyone out there figured out another solve for this that I am missing? Open to ideas.

Whenever I went out and did water sports I would just put my fob in a couple zip lock bags or water tight bags and put it in a pocket and call it good.
