I used to live in Monument and work in Colorado Springs and my entire commute to work was downhill and I could probably get into the 20s if I feathered it.

Then coming back home uphill it was in the 10 to 11 range.

Seattle to Portland, uphill and downhill driving, so flat on average I guess. I just hit 24 miles per gallon, man 4Runner is not that thirsty if you drive conservatively.

add larger tires, some armor and it’s a thirsty thotty. I’m averaging 13.9 on the hwy with moderate driving habits.

My 4Runner came with pretty decent skid plates. And I don't need to rock crawl. My all season tires are more than enough for snow and some light trails. The robust 4WD system on this bad boy and other offroading goodies will make up for the light tires. I will be perfectly fine on light trails.

So glad I don’t care about mileage. My gen 1 Tacoma gets terrible mileage too but it’s the bomb.

Try going 55-60 mph. I got 19.9 on 295's + armor + loaded with camping and recovery gear. That said, I'm overall at around 15 right now, but that is the average including off-road trips since February.

I leave too late for work to do 55-60. And someone would end up trying to shoot me with a crossbow if I drove that slow on the 101 lol

Yeah, it's hard to drive that slow on the freeway. I usually do ~65-70 unless I'm in a hurry. But, if I take backroads, I can go 55-60 and save gas money.

I got over 23 miles per gallon for a distance of over 350 miles, and I kept the speed limit on the Interstate 5. Those 350 miles were not strictly highway miles, there were some city miles there as well

I drive below the speed limit in the right lane all the time and I don’t live too far from you. It’s actually pretty relaxing.

I’ve seen people lose their shit on the slow lane when I drive in for work. I know I can drive in the slow lane, I was being a bit dramatic when I said the crossbow thing lol.
