    Hello all,

    First time poster.

My 2017 4Runner gives slight steering wheel vibration under certain circumstances, like accelerating onto a particular stretch of freeway. It passes.

Some reading that I have done indicates that some 4Runner owners have a lot of issues with vibration/balancing/alignment. That suggests to me that I should leave well enough alone, even though I haven't had this experience with other vehicles I have owned. Any advice? Leave it be, or should I be getting my alignment and balance addressed to see if there is an impact?

    Many thanks,

    Carl.

More info please. Is it 4WD, AWD or RWD?

    Thanks for your question:

It is a 2017 SR5 Premium, with part-time 4WD (that's the description on the sticker). Please let me know if further information would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Carl

Try this: select 4WD-High and test drive it. If shake goes away then it is front diff bearing issue and dealer will replace the whole diff or bearing under warranty without any questions. There is TSB on this. G.L. and keep us posted pls

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
Another simple test, check your tire pressures. Mine will slightly shake at a certain speed for just a short time if the pressure drops slightly due to temp changes. Just 2psi can make the difference. After adjusting pressure, I don’t have the issue anymore.
