Currently Im waiting on my Silver for the end of May. I seen a Nautical Blue today TRD ORP at a local dealership with all the right options and almost said yes to purchase. I really like the Silver as first choice and Nautical Blue as my second or maybe 3rd. But when looking in person it's a difficult decision.

    To much pressure.

Just 2 weeks ago purchase my wife a 23 TRD ORP in White and she loves it and I do too. That's why Im trading my 2021 Tundra in for a 4R TRD ORP in Silver or maybe Nautical Blue.

Please Silver and Nautical Blue owners please chime in on YOUR pros and cons.

    Thanks

Silver will match the wheels, bumper valence and roof rails:yes:

Don't have mine yet, but it's a beautiful blue. Mine was a decision between blue or lunar rock, blue won. I'm biased, as I love blue.

I have super white but really like the nautical blue. If I had a choice of silver or blue, I'd personally go with blue. Especially if it had all the right options, was well maintained (I assume used or do they still make those new?), and was a good deal

This exactly. My current Runner is super white, but I would have gotten nautical blue if my last Runner wasn’t black. Here in Fla. dark colors are way too hot in the summer hence my choice of white this go around. Nautical blue is still my favorite color.

I have a Nautical Blue. It looks good when clean but it's a pain in the ass to maintain. I too had a choice between silver and blue when buying but the wife really wanted blue and you know what they say about happy wife...

I have always bought silver vehicles and my ORP is also. Personally I like silver since it shows less imperfections and is easier to maintain.

My co worker had a nautical blue sr5 and it looked nice until a few car washes and the hairline scratches were very visible.

I cannot comment on car washes for mine because I only hand wash my vehicles. My sense is though silver would be more forgiving.

Having said all this I am considering buying one more 5th Gen for everyday in MGM just since I like the look a lot. But I keep telling myself save the money and work. My Accord is much easier and smaller to hand wash in winter.

I am ocd with car finishes and keeping things nice though. Not too many knuckle heads like me at the quarter wash on a January Friday with five gallon buckets, towels, and insulated rubber gloves.

Nauti Blue looks great when it's clean. Silver will be alot more forgiving when dirty.

One other thought is I believe any hood stone chips will show up more in a darker color. I think the silver would be more forgiving even after putting any touch up paint on small chips. Just my opinion

I think "dirty" is how a 4runner should look if used correctly

I had exactly this choice. My dealer had an allocation of two TRD ORPs, one silver and one nautical blue. I picked the silver and I really like it. True, it's not the most exciting color. However, based on past experience, silver doesn't show dirt as much as dark colors. More important, I plan on using it a lot in the Southwest and I wanted the lightest color I could get. (My first choice was white, but I couldn't get one as quickly at MSRP.)

Silver. Nautical Blue looks great when its somebody else keeping it clean. MGM looks great clean too, but in 5 minutes its dirty. In 8, something has brushed against the dirt and it looks even worse. My last taco was silver and it would clean up pretty damn nice, and still look clean a month later. Had my MGM 4R for 2 months and I'd trade it tomorrow for a silver now that I've lived with it.

They both look great. Silver hides pinstripes better but I do not see many blue 4Runners around.

I like darker colors, but Silver will be great with not showing dirt and light scratches as much. still would pick the blue personally.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Blue, I’ve always loved that color.
At the same time my wife and I fell in love with the TRD colors.

Silver is a great color for being low maintenance and hiding imperfections.

However, IMO it's a really boring color. Mine is silver, I don't hate it but it probably wouldn't have been my first choice if I had bought new rather than used.

I think the blue looks fantastic, though I imagine it has the same drawbacks as black.

If you enjoy washing your vehicle, def go blue.

This. Like any dark color, it's beautiful when it's clean. But it doesn't stay clean long...

Zero regrets. Silver is nice, but too generic looking for me. NB stimulates my senses and I love setting eyes on it every morning, but you will get plenty of exercise keeping it clean. If you want less car washing, get the silver. But if the blue is calling out to you, you will regret it everytime you see one.1AF0F198-F36E-4777-8BE3-0F145489485D.jpg

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I absolutely love my Nautical Blue. The only downside is keeping it clean, it does show dirt but man when it's clean it pops! Personally Silver is very bland to me on any car not just the 4Runner.Shiny1.jpg
