Also looks like a new color. Similar to the TRD PRO Cavalry Blue.

Back end looks similar to the new land cruiser to me?

Don't actually understand why both need to exist, seems repetitive. If they end up being close to the same price, the 4Runner makes no sense. If the 4Runner is significantly cheaper than the land cruiser, the land cruiser makes no sense. Unless they go the pure off roader route with the 4Runner?

Nothing I've heard about the 6th gen seems unique.

I agree @TheGreekFreak. But it seems Toyota's going to keep the 4Runner somewhere in between the Wrangler, Bronco space and the rest of the more street-biased field. It's like Jeep and Ford all but invited Toyota to play - the sales numbers, margins... AND Toyota's been there - a removable top, true 4wd, etc. I really don't get it. The Land Cruiser and 4Runner will be competing with themselves a good bit.

Exactly. I don't see any feature the LC has that the 4Runner won't. Yet the LC, for branding reasons, will have to be priced a bit higher regardless.

If you add a roll down back window to the 4Runner, or really any option not available for the LC, I can see the 4Runner purely out competing the LC for the same customers.

Toyota is a great company but they make strange decisions with these models sometimes. Like charging $85K+ for the old LC, in only outdated but fluffed up luxury trims, when the rest of the world had the option to get a lower spec one......then they go "see, we had to kill it because it didn't sell well in the US" like the Range Rover customer who doesn't blink spending $100K for a shitbox he'll just trade in at year 3 was cross shopping a $100K Toyota to keep for 20 years as his daily driver because it's reliable lol.

I wonder who will be the first brand to over a blow off valve for it like they do for the Tundra. :smashpc:
