Hey guys and gals im new here but just put down my deposit for a Black 2022 TRD Off Road (Canadian model - I think its an ORP in the states)
Either way im not a huge fan of the stock silver wheels, always liked the look of the trd ones though - Should i get the TRD ones? Are they worth it? Anyone have some pictures of the TRDs (bronze or gunmetal) on a black ORP?

Ill probably be putting a set of toyo OC AT3 or BFG K02s on it. so bonus points if you run that set up.

    Cheers.

If you plan to use bigger tires like 285/70R17 TRD Pro wheels are not approved. With TRD Pro wheels you can go upto 275/70R17 tires.

You stock TRD Offroad wheels meet the minimum width requirement for bigger tires.

    Added specs if that helps for your future needs;

Holy crap, looks like I am screwed.... I was not aware the 285's could not go on the TRD's :annoyed:

Whether or not 285's are "approved" or not, I along with tons of others run them on TRD wheels and they mount and sit properly. There is no issue. Maybe manufacturers don't approve them to cover their ass since the rim is slightly more narrow and it doesn't fall within their minimum spec. But that's like a lot of things in life. The likelihood of having an issue is minimal.

I meant to say when OP is spending money might be worth spending to buy wheels that is approved vs taking risk..:)

Here are mine on a MGM. Also matte black as you can see. Agree the gray would prob look better.

I don't plan on sizing up substantially or getting a lift any time soon so I think that the trds would be fine. Those falkens look good. Maybe I'll have to look into those too! Probably just get a quote on them all and get the cheapest ones

If you are not going with bigger tires TRD Pro wheels they are good and look damn sexy. Shop around different Toyota dealer websites you might find them at a better price.

I too have Falken Wildpeaks (standard load) on my 4Runner Limited (Mine are P285/70R17 though). They are relatively cheap yet good tires. I found them cheap at Walmart.com and Discount Tire price matched. My Falken Wildpeaks are made in Thailand though but some of the members were lucky to get Made in USA Falken Wildpeaks if I'm not mistaken.

Honestly, I love them. They absolutely rip through the snow and they are as quiet as advertised on dry pavement.

If you’re going to get them, now is the time. They’re on sale right now. I just bought a set yesterday for $143 each. They also have free shipping but I picked mine up. Once the sale is over it’ll be a long time before they are this cheap again.

Look them up online. My dealer made me buy them through their website to get them. I bought mine from Florence (SC) Toyota for $143 each. Toyota of Greenville (SC) shows them for $137 with free shipping.

You think they will be good enough to not need snow tires? I’m 50/50 on keeping the stock orp wheels abs putting blizzaks on them for the winter or just selling the wheels and tires.

I am a little confused about what you are asking. Are you asking me if Ridge Grapplers are sufficient enough in the snow compared to Blizzaks? Blizzaks are awesome winter tires. But you can't run them in the summer. So you'd have to switch them every season.

Sorry let me clear up what I’m asking. Do you think the ridge grapplers are good enough to not need dedicated snow tires for the winter?

According to specs, you’re not supposed amount to 285/70 R17 tires on them, but everybody does it without any problems. So go figure.
