If you are talking about the grills on either side it’s your speakers.

Looks like hybrid battery cooling vents.

Yup. Why would they put the vents there it does not make any sense. I wonder if the holes are small enough where a kid could not stick a crayon or a popsicle stick.

    Yep, battery ventilation.

Usually they're below the second row seat-bottoms in other models but since it seems those seats tumble forward in this model, seems like that's the only place for them to go.

The plastic covers pop off and there's a dust filter underneath that'll need cleaning once in a blue moon so make of that as you will. At least they aren't completely in reach of third-row miscreants.

On a related note, I'm disappointed by Toyota packaging in this new batch of vehicles. I recognize these are platforms shared globally and reduce costs (but not prices lol) and the live axle has some perks of it's own but I'm pretty sure only the new GX has a flat load floor with the seats folded (three-row) or tumbled (two-row) - assuming those lock in the upright position. Otherwise the LC has that battery hump that aligns with no second-row configuration (23 MPG more than enough consolation?) and the Sequoia has... this plus a tray.
