Anyone has experience securing all the gear on the roof rack? I'm going with the family and will be staying in motels, so I worry my jack, track boards, jerry can, etc might get stolen overnight.

I've never had traction board or been off road with anyone who has.

I'll carry some boards/block so I can use the stock jack.

Have had 4 pelican cases up top with some gas cans. I would take the cases into the hotel room at night when we hit a hotel. Left the gas up top. Hasn't been stolen yet.

Sounds like Jack and boards would be easy to bring inside.

Cable locks work nicely and are very versatile.
