Seafoam to improve gas mileage?

I have the 3rzfe engine, I get 16-18 MPG city and 20-22 MPG highway. I know thats not bad, but I have the stock size AT tires and no modifications and this is the 4 cylinder engine!

Does anyone know if seafoam would work with this engine or improve the MPG?

I'm assuming you've already done it, but have you done spark plugs, wires, air filter, etc?

I would think that if there was something you could add to gas to improve fuel economy they would already be putting it in there.

 

I've tried the air filter. I replaced it, while it isn't as breathable as the K&N air filter I had before, I want cleaner air over having more of it. I haven't touched the engine or done any treatments, so its still stock (apart from wearable items). Spark plugs were replaced recently with good quality ones.

 

Personally I don't use additives in my vehicles as I do not know of their long term effects. As for Seafoam, Project Farm on YouTube has number of videos on Seafoam.
