I searched before I posted this. Best information I could find on the cons of rough county was something like “they suck” or they are “shit” which wasn’t very informative or helpful.
I had a F350 that I put a rough country lift on years ago and I had no complaints. Held up a helluvah lot better than the power stroke 6.0.
That being said… anyone with first hand knowledge of this lift or any components? I would upgrade to the mono tube v2 shocks. The best thing anyone has had to say about the N3 is that they are mediocre.

5100’s with some aftermarket coils would be better, and around the same price as this. Quality UCA’s alone are $500-$700, keep that in mind.

Don't do Junk Country. 5100s as mentioned should be the minimum.

…The question was “why not?” And I still see general statements like “junk” with no backup ? ? ?
They are junk becuzzzzz … The a arms break and the shocks leak? ? ?
The springs are lower quality steel and mine wore out in 24 months? ? ?

I’m looking for something more than “warn winches RULE and cheap winches SUCK”

NOBODY has personal experience to support their statement that these are shit/junk ?

That’s what I had on my FJ. Can’t remember what UCA I bought. I was happy with that setup and purchase.
So this a arm isn’t quality because?

Just say it. You are trying to justify a cheap purchase. Also you said the ride was fine on your 350 means I doubt you have actually rode in a vehicle with a quality lift.

If you don't give a shit about ride quality after a lift then hell go for it. Its hard to explain online go find someone with other lift brands and try to ride in it.

Maybe the problem is that there isnt much in the way of good reviews? Usually I look for good reviews from forums like this…something from someone that can explain why it’s good, not just “makes my ride look sweet” or “shipped fast” lol. If you cant find good reviews, it might be for a good reason. That said, I’m sure they’re serviceable…at least for some period of time. As long as you can go back to stock, the risk wont be any greater than the price of the kit and your labor.

I've ridden in a Tacoma with a Rough Country ride was rough as hell.

There is a reason why there isn't much actual feedback on it. Because 99% people here are smarter than you think and don't waste their money on that shit. Pretty telling isn't it when no one has the damn thing.

You are wasting time here fishing for the answer you want.

True and logical. But wouldn’t you think in a room full of people who emphatically call it junk there would be at least one that has a horror story that consists of more than “customer service was rude to me”. (The opposite end of the worthless review spectrum)
I wasn’t overly impressed with the lift I had but using your words it was serviceable. That honestly was more of a mall crawler though and I never challenged it. More of a mudder than a climber.

More like do research instead of asking to be spoon fed.

If you actually looked in the suspension section you will find tons of info.

But since you don't believe us go for it and don't forget to post the review. Maybe you can give them a good name.

Yup. Your application will be a big part of how happy you’ll be with it. If you are interested in looks without destroying your truck, they might be perfectly fine. But lack of reviews describing “how” they are good on their own website, might tell you it’s geared for the looks good/remains serviceable crowd.

Regarding the roomful of people yelling “UNCLEAN” at RC kits…these kits might have become notorious for some reason, but maybe no one here remembers why. Only a faint echo of warning from the past remains lol. But, maybe they are considered unclean simply because there are better options for a little more money.

It could be the case that RC has stepped up their game, but the legend makes it difficult for types like us in the forum to seriously consider them. That may be unfair, but people want to watch out for their money and arent willing to risk it.

Now, if you are in a position to get them because you dont see it as a risk for you, then it’s a perfect opportunity to add to the knowledge base with your first hand thoughts on them.

At least they didn't want you to grease grease but they warn about fit fit. Maybe don't have a fit if it doesn't fit?

I put adjustable RC control arms on my 2003 Jeep Wrangler some years ago. They lasted the year I kept the Jeep, then I sold it to a buddy. He was up in Colorado on an off-road excursion, and while doing a fairly mild trail, the passenger side control arm adjusting collar disintegrated. The control arm did not come off, but it clanked and clunked the rest of the day, and all the trip home. When we went to inspect the carnage, we found the driver's side on the verge of the same fate. He replaced the RC control arms with some stamped steel oem ones, which in his mind, were better than anything RC offered.

Classic cyber bully response there dude. I like in particular your attempt to alienate me by using “us”.

Many with many more to go
The Why Not is easy to explain. The overwhelming majority of R&D for RC is in their full sized truck category. Thats why if you search the F250/350/450, Silverado, Ram etc forums, there is not a lot of hate like there is in the Jeep and 4Runner forums. R&D in the mid size vehicle arena is poorly engineered and sourced.

They are cheap for a reason. Entry level kits that will save you money, but have a history of poor seals, rusting issues, quickly fading spring rates, etc.

What is your budget and many folks here can offer up advice in the dollar arena that will far outperform and last products like Rough Country and Tuff Country.

    Not trying to cyberbully anyone.

I'm not the only one here that thinks its crap but you just want to nit pick and couple lines here and there in entire posts.

There is literally another thread on which suspension you regret in the same sub forum. I bet that one its 1000x more informative than this one asking for a specific suspension. It gives you the con's of all the popular suspensions out there.

Here since you probably haven't noticed it yet.

My last lift was on an FJ and it was OME with 5100 bilsteins. Can’t remember what UCA I bought but I did get one. Will probably end up close to the same but I might bump up to the next level 5160s. I like the idea of the 6112s but I think that is ego talkin and I’m not sure I “need” that.
All that however is a whole nuther discussion and I was curious about the RC.

You know what… that isn’t that helpful. I did see that one in my search and that was where I got the information I referenced in my original post. I’m looking for facts before I spend over $1000 and “they are shit” just doesn’t qualify as information. I told you I searched this forum before I posted and I did. I posted because I didn’t see ANY where folks personally experience failure.

    You not trying hard enough.

    https://www.4runners.com/forums/suspension.19/

Again you won't have many reviews for Rough Country here because 90%+ don't even have it on their list. Also again feel free to buy and review it for everyone here so maybe it can be on others to buy lists. Someone has to be the guinea pig right?

If you want facts just look around what everyone else is buying and is happy with.

Sorry I can't help my self.
