Well, my upgrades have begun. I got my bumper, winch and sliders installed yesterday. Now considering a full length roof rack. What is everyones favorite roof rack for the 5th Gen? I put Westcott Design sliders on it so thinking of going that route, but am open to other ideas.

I like my WD modular. Great customer support. I had a full size steel rack before going low profile. Quieter and I can use sun roof at higher speeds now. I fit in all parking garages now also lifted with roof rack.

Wind drag at highway speeds was much worse before going low profile.

Congrats on the commencing with the mods... my condolences on your wallet now going empty slowly but surely..

IMHO, top 3 brand options (in order of my preference)..
    1. Westcott (Lo-Pro or Modular...)
    2. Sherpa (Crestone...)
    3. Prinsu
note: grain of salt and all... your mileage may vary and opinions are like a-holes (everyone has one)

p.s. if you go with the Lo-Pro, let us know if you find a good quick release awning bracket... because eventually you'll want an awning but get tired of the hassle of the conventional brackets when you want to remove the awning.. to get into your work's parking garage M-F, because you also lifted the vehicle..... long winded story....

Great looking rack for sure. I'm thinking low profile also. This is the first time in 20+ years that I have room in my garage for my 4runner. I don't want to ruin that by adding something too high on the top.

Anyone know if the Pro rack will fit on other trims like the SR5 premium or is it made specifically for the Pro? Unless there is an aftermarket one that is similar to that style. That is the design I need for my needs.

Pro rack will fit on a SR5. Other users have added the pro rack.

You may also need a bolt kit for that PRO rack. I believe I remember something being slightly different. Not 100% but make sure you look into that too.

    Sherpa Crestone.

    /end thread.

The only other option is the ever-popular approach; try every other brand of roof rack and then ultimately decide to sell them and then buy a Sherpa Crestone.

Very happy with the Cali Raised Premium Roof Rack. The front light cover is great.

The three racks I was considering before I purchased a Sherpa rack, were Prinsu, Golbi, and of course Sherpa. I ruled the Golbi out quickly because I wouldn't be able to fit the car into the garage with it installed. Prinsu racks have a lot of accessories for them, both from prinsu and third party products, and the new pro racks seem to be built even better than the original. Sherpa racks have a lot of accessories as well, including some unique window panel mounts which I liked but what ultimately sold me on the Sherpa rack was the method of installation. Most racks require you to apply sealant were the rack bolts to the roof, where the Sherpa uses a thick rubber gasket, similar to factory, which I preferrer over using a sealant. How high off the roof does this sit? Trying to find something that's same height or lower than my TRD Pro rack so I can still park it in the garage.

I ended up with a Sherpa Crestone. Great quality rack and still have plenty of clearance into my garage.

Westcott. This thing has been holding up great. Just put 3,000 miles on it with it all loaded up in Idaho. About 70 of those miles in pretty rough terrain. 4wheel low for about 20 miles.

Thanks for the response, one other question, do you get much if any glare off the hood when the light is on? Heard roof mounted light bars can do this depending on how they're mounted and whether they're flood or spot lights. thanks again!
