Gobi stealth with space for a 40" light bar. This rig sits outside all the time. Never garaged and the rack after a year of weather still looks new. Won't be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

It might be. When you see the quality welds and powder coat, the wait is worth it.

Did it come with the ladder and where do you keep the spare tire?

They (trail duty) out of San Antonio was the place we ordered ours, and at the time they were running a special and included the ladder and free shipping.

The factory spare tire is still under the vehicle.

I don't understand the purpose of the flat rack with no elevated rails. How do you strap a cooler or camping totes up there without having shit slide all over the place?

Gobi racks are the only ones that look functional to me.

Just installed it this morning. Love it !! I went with the flat rack so I can mount a roof top tent. Purchased from Relentless Fabrication.org_67e12509c0efde9f_1515367399000.jpg 20180107_110754.jpg

I really like the replacement bars that upgrade the factory system from Rago fabrication. I don’t own them yet, but they are on my list.
    Does anyone have these?

What sort of rack is that? I don't see it on RF's website. I've heard that 3/4 racks get a smaller MPG hit than the full length racks, is that true?

Don’t know where you are located, but I have a Ecotechne full length roof rack for sale. Check the Buy/sale/trade section. No drilling required.

It's from Relentless but they took them down from the site. You have to contact them about it and I believe it's pick up only on the rack. I havent noticed a mpg loss, I've been doing a whole lot of working and not much playing lately

Lumber and other long items are easier to strap on a flat "utility" rack, because it is flat. Should be just as easy to strap smaller items on as anything other rack, why wouldn't it be? It has many tie down points.

I like the flat rack as it is lower profile and makes daily driving less "windy".

I use my rack to carry ladders and lumber on a regular basis.

For ladders I use this (has a hook at the bottom):

Anyone know if Whitson Metal Works still does the slim rack for single orders? Or did Gobi totally kill him? I would recommend Whitson Metal Works, Demello may even be interested in a custom fab. These guys are grass-roots fabricators, and they make incredible products that will outlast the vehicle itself.

We will be coming out with our M-Rack for the 5th gens very soon! No exact timeline set, but we've had it in and digitally scanned and are in development of the product now. So what's left is the creation of the first one, then final tweaks if needed, and then full production!

It will look similar to this and will be available with a few different options for the light bar (or none at all).
