Hi, Was just in a sort of a major accident. I was hit in the side by a semi truck, and I rolled over 2-3 times and ended upside down. Truck ran a stop and broadsided me. I had seat belt on, and came to upside down. The seat belt released easily and I was able to open my door. I walked away, a little confused, but only had a small cut by my ear. Went to the hospital was all checked, and only had some small bruises. This car saved me, and sadly it is totaled. These cars are amazing. EM workers were surprised I could walk away. This I owe to this great vehicle!
Now looking for another, and don't want to drive anything else

Wow. Glad to hear you were able to walk away. I would say rolling over 2-3x after being hit by a semi would qualify as a major accident. Hope you can get a new one out of this.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Welcome to the forums, and wow! What a nasty accident! Woofta! We're sure glad you're OK. It just shows how tough these trucks are, even without mods.

Now you get the fun time of dealing with not only YOUR insurance company, but his as well. Get yourself a good lawyer that will fight for you. It's well worth the 1/3 of what you'll get to let HIM do all the paperwork, and spend all the phone time. Chances are good you'll spend some time in court with him chatting with your, and his, insurance companies, trying to pry the money owed to you out of them. Hope you get a good judge! Make sure that when you tell what happened, you stay consistant. Not just with your story, but with the police reports. Get copies of those, read them carefully, and make sure they reflect what you recall.
Never say ANYTHING that in any way would indicate that you were at fault in any way for anything. YOU did nothing wrong, but the other guys insurance company lawyer will try to make it LOOK like it was all your fault. Do NOT let them get away with anything.

I've been there, and the worst thing the little old lady, that pulled out in front of my motorcycle, could come up with that I did was that I was swearing at her excesively, as I was laying on the pavement in agony from a badly broken arm. I did, too. I picked up some awesome swear words while I was in the Corps, and I let her have every one of them I could think of. She tried to say it was all my fault cause I swore at her a lot. Go figure.

    Good luck to ya!
    Pat☺

Man, they are excellent vehicles... Having been hit hard by someone in my first 4Runner, I can also say that they are pretty much solid. Welcome, glad to hear you are ok though, and yes, at least you live to get a new one!

    Cheers,

    Sean
