I know there are probably mixed feelings on rock lights. However, I bought some and have watched a lot of install vids on YT on how to do these. And of course everyone has different methods and recommendations on how these should be done. I guess my only concerns are the actual running of the wires and the mounting part.

So if anyone has good pointers, recommendations, etc. on these, I'd greatly appreciate. I've never installed these before, so the obvious need not be said.

The lights that I used on my TJ are the ones that are common to semi-tractor trailer rigs. They are usually red, yellow or clear for back-up lights. They are all plastic in design. I mounted them using aluminum flat bar that can be bent into shape as needed.
I drilled a small hole in the back of them and a small hole in the flat stock and used a dab of silicone on the screw to seal out any moisture.
And I used the female bullet type solder less connectors to connect on to the male ground and male positive.

Side note, like with the red and yellow lights, the clear ones also have twin filament (1157 type) bulbs. And I chose the brighter of the two.

The 'wire loom' that I made up, is just two 14 gauge, red & black, wires in 1/4" black split loom. It's tucked up well and zip tied. And a fused relay is wired in also.

These are very good to flood the area with light because I didn't want just round hot spots on the ground. Also they are pointed at the ground in front of and behind each tire. They are not in the wheel wells.
