    hey guys,

I got some new roam cases in last week and installed them on my uptop bravo roof rack.

no drilling was involved because i used the Sherpa roam case mounts that mount directly in the front and rear of the case. love that i didn’t have to put holes on these expensive cases however, you do hear some noise sometimes from the case when you hit a bump since they’re not drilled onto the rack.

before i had harbor freight cases mounted that i drilled 4 holes into and i didn't hear no case noise.

That looks great! Sadly, there isn't a mount that works with my rhinorack so I had to drill into my overpriced case.

I am about to do the same thing, appreciate your post! Have a ton of stuff being added to the 4R at the shop and pick it up in the am. Have these Sherpa mounts and a Roam case in the garage, can't wait to install them on the new Prinsu rack. Glad to hear you seem to be happy with them, stunning white 4R by the way :)

He and I both have an Uptop Overland Bravo. They just updated it as well, it's pretty sturdy.

I saw your post about the Roam cases mounted on your UpTop Overland Rack and wanted to ask how you like the rack as I'm considering the same rack for my rig. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know of any dislikes or issues you have had with it...

    Thanks in advance..

    Cheers,
    Bob

I've thought about the Roam cases for my Sherpa. Would be nice to get stuff out of the truck and up top. What sort of gear do you carry in there? I was thinking of camping gear, but on my last trip I realized that I generally bring the camping gear case out of the truck to the site. Having it mounted up top sounds like it might be annoying if I need to dig around a bit when setting up camp.

The newer version (2.0, current version) comes with 8 crossbars and is thicker on the sides. My version 1.0 is still running strong and has minimal wind noise. I love it.

Install was pretty straightforward (no longer have to cut rack sleeves) and from start to finish had it out together in 25 minutes. Install was fast. Make sure you have someone there to lift to truck and also lift front so you can slide feet down (front feet aren't mounted)

    Their support is top notch.

    Reach out with questions.

Right now I carry my trail stuff in there and unmount the boxes when I know I won't use them for a couple weeks:
    - inflation/ deflation
    - recovery ropes/straps
    - lantern with extra batteries
    - sleeping bag/ pad
    - ax and hatchet
    - extension cord (I have a lifpo4 battery)
    - zip ties
    - tire repair kit
    - trash bags/ crap bags (for dog and I)
    - cam straps

If you're standing on inside of passenger door or rock sliders, it's not difficult to rummage.
