Just lifting my baby 3 inches, looking for new rims, found a lot from new tacomas… they have same bolt pattern, will they fit?

They should. Just make sure you that if you have a 4wd that you buy the rims off of a 4wd Taco. 2wd ones will not fit the front hubs.

    Yes they will, plenty do.

It's the 15" variants you want to look out for but who downgrades wheels?

OP, I'd keep it at 2" if lift.

    That much is overkill.

Does the 30 offset from a 2012 Tacoma wheel with 265/75/16 play well with a stock 99 limited fender wells?

Later generation Tacoma wheels sit inwards a bit.

I tried the 16" from a 1st Gen Prerunner on my 92 4wd 4Runner and the fronts would not fit around the hubs. I figured the hubs for the 2nd Gen 4runner would be the same as the 3rd gen.

3rd Gen 4Runners and 1st Gen Tacomas use identical spindles, wheel bearings, etc.

The exception being that manual hub variants exist in 1st Gen Tacomas, not 3rd Gen 4Runners. With that said, that's why they'll work.

2nd and 3rd Gen Tacomas have a different offset and most just run a spacer so they don't look funky.

I'm not familiar with 2nd or 1st Gen 4Runners at all, not to mention pre-Tacomas IE Pick Ups.
