Got rid of this 10 years ago because I didnt have room for both this and an SUV my wife and I needed to haul stuff around as we were starting a business. Wish we never started that business and I never sold this car.

I feel you man! I had to get rid of my baby in 2017 when my wife got laid off unexpectantly right after the birth of our son. :-(

Thank you! yep it was quite a build. Back in high school through college I also had a 1969 442 (legit and #s matching 400 ci, 4 speed with 3.90 gears). I’ll try to dig some pics of that one.

nah dont have the $, time or need to go back to that type of vehicles.

Another one I let go. SMH!!

90 Notch back. 331 stroker with 150 shot, TKO 500 trans and 3.73 gears. Scary fast because she was so light even with 295/50/15 tires in the back.

2001 Gen 1 Tacoma TRD 4 door Prerunner. Gave it to my son at 16. He was still driving it in 2023 when an 18-wheeler jackknifed and hit him and 3 other vehicles. Needless to say, it was totaled. And with only 189k on it, it ran like a top. But he survived with relatively minor injuries, which was a miracle.

Yeah he was fortunate to have survived at all, much less no serious injuries. Concussion, knee smashed into the emergency brake handle, broken ribs from the seatbelt. He told me he saw the truck coming in his rear view mirror but there was nowhere to go. Like I said, just a miracle.

Excuse the poor photo, I owned this vehicle pre-digital photo days, this is a photo of a photo taken circa 1998.

    73 Chevy K10 4x4. I bought this in 1993 when I was 14, and sold it 2001ish, to buy a Trans Am.

This was pretty stock when I bought it, I did body work and primed it with desert tan primer, redid the interior, had the engine rebuilt, tranny rebuilt, added a 4-in lift, 35-in tires.

It came stock with a TH350 and NP205 transfer case, which I later found out was rare, and stock 373 gears.

I really regret selling this truck, both because the value of these has gone way up since I sold it, and mostly because my dad and I worked on this a lot, and he's gone now.

I saw this sitting in front of a house. So, I just knocked on the door and asked if it was for sale. Just got back from working in Detroit.

I miss my '79 F350 4x4 Super Cab. It was really long, really rusty, and my mom said it had to go. C6, NP205 case, Dana 60 front, 70 rear with 4.10 gears and a Trac-Lok. Factory dual batteries. Dual tanks. Factory front and rear sway bars (camper package). The 400M had a horrible vacuum leak and barely any oil pressure. A one-owner, old man truck with only 79,000 km. How that old man bought this Ford brand new and so thoroughly neglected it in 20 years and such low km, I will never understand. I was just out of university and had no money or space to give it the care it deserved. I sold it to a guy from Illinois for a small profit so it wasn't for nothing.

I would love to get another 3rd gen and do a 'clean' upgrade like the OP's first pic...or maybe go a bit further like 40" with some technical (but doable) lower suspension modifications like this just to have (more) fun in deeper snowdrifts.
