Replacing front bumper would mess with the sensors?

Hi,
I'm looking for advice on making my 2018 limited more of a representation of my personality and functionality. I despise all the chrome, especially the front bumper. I have been told by a Toyota dealership, that replacing the front bumper would mess with the sensors, and possibly cancel my warranty. Does anyone know if this is true?

 

Welcome from Wisconsin! Different rules for different dealerships. One will tell you "if we put the mods on your truck they have warranty". The next dealer will tell you like yours did, someone at the same dealership you inquired at will say something different! Check around, I'm not sure about the "fine print" on warranties.

Welcome! Did the 2018 come with the tss/radar sensors? What other sensors does your limited come with?

In any case, your three year comprehensive warranty is almost up. That leaves your 5year/60k powertrain warranty.
What kind of bumper replacement were you thinking of? There are probably not many ways a bumper replacement will affect remaining warranty
