First post here guys, my wife’s 2022 4Runner driver door actuator got to where it would not unlock, so I just got through replacing it in this muggy south Alabama heat and am a little bit frustrated, watched a few YouTube videos and accomplished the feat in 37 minutes. But now the window is not letting down properly, looks like it’s letting down at an angle when it’s about 1/4 of the way going down. I put every screw and bolt back together in the proper order. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, will go back in to it tomorrow afternoon. Told her to not let window down when she pulls up at the mailbox tomorrow afternoon until I get some help on the forum, lol….

Dealership would not cover it under warranty and wanted $800 plus to replace the actuator

Found my problem and corrected it, window channel rubber was kinked, and to fix the problem had to drill hole in door about 1/2” below the original bolt hole location to straighten the rubber out, evidently the after market actuator is slightly a different dimension

There's a small motor inside the actuator that is usually the issue. You can buy them for $5 on eBay. I done 5 of them on the family Camry, and the hardest part is really just getting the actuator out of and back into the door, haven't had to do it on the 4R. The repair of the door lock actuator is simple. Just open the clips holding the actuator together, it will be obvious, the motor just rests in place.
