Hello - first time 4 Runner owner here . The top (spinning) part of my floor clip broke off. I have broken the upper black portion of the floor clip trying to remove it from the bottom white part. Any help would be greatly appreciated in how to do this. I have no clue how to unfasten it nor how to lift the carpet.

I believe they are clipped in. Try to push one side of the clip and pry it out. You need push a little hard to get it out as they are tight/sandwiched together.
