Hey guys just curious, has anyone gotten a recall notice from Toyota for a low pressure fuel pump on the 2019 4runner ? I just purchased a 2019 SR5 Runner. I have not gotten a recall notice. I happen to hear about there might be a recall on this issue. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!

Just search fuel pump and the link s will pop up. For some reason the tech gods won't let me share them today.

Got the notice awhile ago, just had the work done as the parts were on backorder. Takes about 4 - 6 hours, and they will probably request that you bring the truck in with 1/4 of a tank of gas (or less).

I had my recall done last Friday, they suggested a fuel injector and throttle cleaning procedure be done, now my 2019 is vibrating at idle, almost like bad gas. I put in some Seafoam and let it set overnight, it was better in the morning, until I put in a tank full of non-ethanol fuel. I think it stirred up crap in the tank because it started vibrating again. It runs fine, just vibrates at idle, very annoying. I have put a bit more Seafoam in and it seems to come and go. I am going to let it burn the tank of gas and see what happens, most of my driving is on interstate, so hopefully what ever it is will pass and not require another visit to the dealer.

I wouldn't think a 2019 model would need a fuel injector and throttle body cleaning service.

Cars have gone for 100's of thousands of miles without this service.

Mine has 40K+ miles on it, figured it could not hurt, but will not do it again for sure.

The cleaning service was totally not required... Got the recall service done about a month ago they never mentioned the amount of fuel in the tank and I don't recall what was in it I'm sure it had half a tank at least. Running the same as before which I guess is good smelled gas after leaving and a little in the garage when I parked it but that went away probably the net day.

So I took it back, they dropped the fuel tank again and claimed they found a "rolled" O-ring. I am not sure exactly what that means, but what ever they did, they fixed the issue of the vibration.

We were told to have only a quarter tank of gas in the 4Runner when we brought it in for the recall work. It seems to be running fine. Maybe even a little more pickup when accelerating, compared to before.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I have to get mine done. No issues and I've done a bunch of long distance road trips with it.
I'll probably just schedule it with the dealer and their online service appointment book.

I got a recall notice for my 2019 RAV4 (Canadian made model), which was changed out last month. I needed to bring in around 1/4 full, because they have to remove the gas tank, but it only took about 1:30 to do. Toyota has to change about 3.4 Million of these faulty fuel pumps, affecting both Toyota and Lexus. The fuel pump can just stop working, leaving you dead on the highway, so they said get it in asap.

My Japanese made 2019 RAV4 was not affected by the recall, which suggests the faulty part might have been Made in USA?
