Hello all, just got my first brand new 4runner 2024 ORP. Rear window rolls down with arrow buttons(outside) but it does not roll up.

Doors locked , truck off, keyfob on my pocket. Rolling down is smooth but then i hold up bottom and it beeps for 6 seconds and locks truck but window does not move up.

reddit suggested window fuze must be blown, hard to believe as this truck is 2 days old .

Anyone has suggestions how to fix?

    ***************
    SOLVED.

It turns out that I forgot that the spare key (second copy) was inside the console compartment. Thats why it was not closing window because it detected key inside

    Stupid me error.

Thanks everyone, was surprised the quick responses i got even though im brand new to this thread !!!

If the fuse were blown, wouldn't the window also refuse to roll down?

Or are there separate fuses for the up and down functions?

    Oooh look, another mod.....

Did you by chance hit the window lock button on the drivers door? I had this happen before, and it was because I hit that button. When you un-click it, it starts working again.

I just had that issue. I'll try again form the information here.

For whatever reason, I left my 4Runner running by mistake after parking and walked away. It beeped at me to remind me to turn it off. Too much to drink last night!

try this from page 159 of the manual, not exactly your issue, but maybe it wil lhelp:

■When the power back window does not close normally
If the jam protection function is operating abnormally and a window cannot be
closed, perform the following operations using the power back window
    switch.
●After stopping the vehicle, the window can be closed by holding the power
back window switch in the one-touch closing position while the engine
switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode.
●If the window still cannot be closed even by carrying out the operation
explained above, initialize the function by performing the following procedure.
Hold the power back window switch in the one-touch closing position.
Continue holding the switch for a further 6 seconds after the window has
    closed.
Hold the power back window switch in the one-touch opening position.
Continue holding the switch for a further 2 seconds after the window has
    opened completely.
Hold the power back window switch in the one-touch closing position
once again. Continue holding the switch for a further 2 seconds after the
    window has closed.
    1
    2
    3
160 3-5. Opening, closing the windows and moon roof
If you release the switch while the window is moving, start again from the
    beginning.
If the window continues to close but then re-open slightly even after performing
the above procedure correctly, have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
    dealer.

Other than that I would probably take it to the dealer maybe on next oil change, since it's not an emergency. And when dealer gets it fixed under warranty, let us know what was wrong, I would think there's might be some lose wire on "up" button but I never heard about this before especially with new truck.

Good to know, I had no idea that you can't close window with key inside. And good you found it yourself, it saved you embarrassment at the dealership : )
