So, who removed your rear sway bar? Did you add limiting straps? And how did you mount them? Looking for Ideas!

I've been running without a rear sway bar for a couple weeks now and I like how it handles. Its not sloppy at all. Yes there is more sway but its not uncomfortable. Without the sway bar, the rearend takes bumps so much smoother. Still handles better then stock.

Does the swaybar limit axle down travel? If it doesnt, does it support the axle to some degree anyway at full extension. I’m asking anyone that knows, because I dont. :)

I was under the impression that shocks limit travel, but never thought about how the swaybar plays into this….

i’m also interested in how folks have done limit straps.

It limits travel both up and down. Yes the factory shocks limit travel... I guess I should of stated I'm setting up for a mid travel setup, I wouldn't recommend removing your sway bar on a stock 4r.

Is it possible to flex the rear down that far that you would need limiting straps? I feel like that would defeat the purpose of removing the sway bar.

I would probably make sure to extend the axle vent line and the brake lines though.

Yeah brake lines where done with the "lift".

Everything has to work together. If your shocks are to long your springs can fall out.
