Hi I just noticed in a picture of a limited that the rear seats fold flat OVER the rear seat bottoms?

In my SR5, the rear seat bottoms have to fold up first, which limits how far I can stretch out in the back.

Is it true the limited rear seats fold differently?

    Thanks

You're likely looking at a 3-row Limited. The second row of seats is designed to fold/slide, whereas in your truck the second row is fixed. That's why the bottoms flip up to fold the backs flat.

3rd row option is only offered in the SR5 and Limited.

Thanks. What?! So does the 3rd row end up giving you more head room when folded and slided? Thanks.

These trucks are supernatural! Seriously worth it. I’ve had an X5 and a pathfinder.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. The 3rd row (the one in the back) takes almost all the cargo space when the seats are up. When they are folded completely flat, the floor is about 6 inches higher than the "empty" cargo space in your two-row truck. The second row (when folded) is about level with this heightened floor.

If you're asking about available sleeping length, yes- since the flat part is higher and there's no seat bottom in the way, you would have more "headroom" though I think you have to put something there to extend the surface (otherwise there's a gap). The 2 row trucks have less available length because of the flipped-forward seat bottoms, but they have about 6" more room from ceiling to floor.
