Does anyone know what the tint percentage is on the rear passenger doors? If you wanted an exact match on the drivers door and front passenger door in a ceramic product what percentage will get you a match?

I've had 20% and 35% ceramic on toyota fronts with factory dyed 29% rear glass. I will say the 20% seems to match better IMO

    i would agree on 20%..

hope this helps.. I tinted over factory tint as well on my 2021 4R.
I did 30% on the front driver & passenger.. then 20% all around.. this was about 3 years ago.. now I want to redo the fronts with 20% to get a darker matching front driver/passenger windows..
I also seen someone on here do 20% all around over factory and 5% on the rear window.. it looked really nice.. of course I saw that after I got my ceramic tint done, smh..

I just had mine done about a month ago.

    Front doors - 50%
Rear doors - 30% plus hatch.
    Windshield - 70%

I wish i would have done it when i purchased it, really helps cut the glare and knocks the heat down. It’s been kinda warm here lately.

Did 45% all the way around on mine (except windshield). Sure wish I could have done 70% on the windshield but that's a no-go in NC.

Worst part is, went in for my inspection and its an extra $15 for them to do a tint inspect and they didn't inspect mine. At the dealer no less. Had I known that I would have done the front windshield at 70%.

Thanks for all the responses. If you redo the other windows tinted to they remove a factory tint or go over a factory tint? How does that work? I was thinking of just saying hey make the front doors match the rear doors. But thinking it might not be right on since sun will come through windshield to the front doors.

Only your front door windows have tint that needs to be removed first, the rear glass is dyed and they just tint over it.

I think it’s 28% when I measured it. To match completely around you need to pick the film first. I used high quality ceramic film 20% all around. Once it’s installed you measure different numbers than before because you have it on the glass. Currently I have 1% difference between front and rear which is negligible.

I was going to go with tinting just the front driver and passenger windows to match the rear (don't recall what they quoted as the percentage, though) but decided since I'm doing a ceramic tint, why not darken all the windows just a tad more? The sun in NM can be brutal. They also put a light tint on the windshield. I will have to check the paperwork to see the percentages all around.

I have to say, the temperature difference after a day in the sun is remarkable.

The shop I've used a few times has a "tint meter" that they will use to help find what will match up. The different tint brands vary in their percentages as well as the actual color. They can be gray-based, brown-based, blue-based, etc. so keep that in mind too. Hopefully they offer options to get the look you're going for.

I don’t think this info. is correct, I believe all the factory glass is tinted in the glass.

Nope, I actually watched them remove the dealer applied tint from my front driver/passenger windows, it actually had a ton of glue/residue on it. The small sticker actually listed "SE Toyota Installed Tint" so they could in theory not charge you for a tint inspection annually.
